La Rousse

For the past five years, La Rousse – which is the feminine form of “redhead” in French – has been known as the shop that showcases up-and-coming woman designers that no one else in Seattle has seen before. Before La Rousse was a fashion-forward online shopping destination, it was a brick-and-mortar boutique in the Belltown neighborhood in Seattle. Although La Rousse’s brick-and-mortar closed in September 2008, its operations continue online, while also maintaining a local presence by hosting pop-up shops once a month and maintaining a home showroom in Capitol Hill.

Each season La Rousse showcases a hand-selected collection of up-and-coming designers from San Francisco to New York (Grace Gow, Grey Antics, Margarita Saplala, Mary Meyer, Reif Haus, Serial Cultura, Shabd, Zuriick), hard-to-find gems from around the globe (Burfitt, Melissa, Neurotica, Rabbit on the Run, Rodebjer, Something Else by Natalie Wood) and our favorite basics (Ahniimura, Slow and Steady Wins the Race, Sophomore).
