The Wood Slabs are left mostly untouched as to allow the end user to have a voice in helping create a truly personal piece of fine furniture.” Putting the word Custom back in Customer” Dale works closely with his clients to achieve a balance between design and natural beauty.
Each Tree/Slab has its own story, we use this element as our starting point in our approach.
The outcome is a blending of the beautiful natural form of the slab with a modern clean aesthetic to enhance each piece built. Each piece is truly a one of a kind work of art!
In addition, Dale will be offering regular seminars regarding: Sustainability, Design, Furniture making and Finishing.
The Loft Gallery will be home to Abstract Artist Desiree D’Ambrosio Shafman
Her fine art paintings, called Rhythm Abstractions, are visual interpretations of music. Based on over thirty years of studying, practicing and teaching color theory, she creates by correlating sound vibrations to color vibrations reflecting musical compositions
Desiree will also offer custom, hand painted floorcloths, a traditional craft of painting canvas to be used as rugs which date back as early as 14th century France. Desiree makes use of stencils for those looking for a traditional accent for their home. She also designs one of a kind modern pieces that break the mold of tradition. Each cloth is made to order catering to each client’s specific needs on size, color and design. Using the highest quality materials, 100% heavy weight cotton canvas, low voc-water based paints and finishes, a floorcloth, used even in the most demanding high traffic areas, will last for many years.
The gallery will offer classes and lectures on both applied color theory as well as classes in which students can make their own floorcloth.
